After upgrade app keeps crashing and won't even open, also how can I not lose my configuration , which directory do i backup

After upgrading to version 1.4.9 the application keeps crashing and doesn't want to start.

I've reproduced crash problem, install the latest version of Core Helper should fix that issue:
