ssh proxy not working after update to macOS Catalina

I just noted the issue after you said it works fine for you. Hope this will help with other users.
I am using Mac Book Pro and connecting to an external display via USB-C to dvi cable.
When I am using dual screen, the ssh proxy drop down menu do not show after I click the icon on upper right hand side of my "original" screen.
However, the menu will be appear if I click the icon on the bar of my external screen.
If I am not connecting to an external display, the menu show without any problem.
So now, it is work fine for me with this trick.
Had the same issue. This guy's blog nailed it for me.
